How to Varnish Paintings 101 : A Guide for Artists
- Choose the right varnish: There are different types of varnishes available for acrylic paintings, including gloss, satin, and matte finishes. Choose a varnish that matches the desired finish of your painting.

Prepare the painting surface: Clean the surface of the painting with a soft cloth to remove any dust or debris. Make sure the surface is completely dry before applying the varnish.

Apply the varnish: Use a soft brush or roller to apply a thin, even coat of varnish to the painting. Start at the top of the painting and work your way down, using long, even strokes.
